Ann Bannon served as a woman Presbyterian missionary at Barrow, Wainwright, Wales, Savoonga, and Gambell from 1920-1941. It is to her that we are indebted for the extensive albums including photographs of local residents, missionaries and distinguished visitors to the Arctic coast during this period.
