Immanuel Welcomes Ian MacInnes-Green and Family The Rev. Ian MacInnes-Green, his wife Kim and son Samuel joined us for worship Sunday, February 28, 2010. Ian will begin his ministry as temporary interim pastor on March 7, through a joint arrangement with the Barrow church, the Presbytery of Yukon, and Immanuel. The agreement will extend for a period of up to four months, ending June 30. For the past three years, Rev. MacInnes-Green has served the Utqiagviq Presbyterian Church in Barrow. Prior to attending seminary, he was a member of Immanuel and has since had a more than twenty year career as pastor. The MacInnes-Green family is re-locating to Anchorage to be close to medical facilities for Kim. The assignment will provide more consistent pastoral coverage for Immanuel during the remainder of the permanent pastor search process. The Immanuel Pastor Nominating Committee is still at work and expects to be able to recommend a candidate for the permanent part-time ministerial position prior to the end of June. |
